I grew up in the Midwest of the United States and was the first in my family to travel overseas. That first trip was a semester studying abroad in Madrid, and I caught a travel bug that never went away. I came back wanting to experience more places, cultures, food, and the unknown.
After a few years as a strategy consultant, I spent my career in hospitality, where I led corporate strategy for one of the largest family-owned restaurant groups in the country. I focused on the experience of the people who worked at the company and the customers they served. It's been my goal to help organizations and people achieve results that were previously unknown as possibilities.
Blueprint Travelers is what Melina and I left corporate careers to build, and I handle the part of it you do not see on the page. I design the routes and itineraries we use to discover a destination for this website. I also look into all the food and restaurants of a destination, which I research with more seriousness than is probably reasonable. I believe a great meal in the right place can create lasting memories from an amazing trip.
